Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Tori Heath was born and raised in the Mon-Valley area in Washington County, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Charleroi Area High School and attended Edinboro University. After gaining an English Literature degree from Edinboro in 2014, she attended Asbury Theological Seminary and received a Master of Divinity in 2018. Tori met her husband Dustin during their time at Asbury Seminary where Dustin also received a Master of Divinity and is pursuing a career in chaplaincy and ministering to people who struggle with addiction recovery.
Pastor Tori was commissioned as a Provisional Elder in 2018 in the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference. While Asbury UMC in Waterford is her first church appointment as pastor, Tori has been steeped in the United Methodist Church her whole life. She was baptized as an infant at Trinity UMC in Erie and continued to grow in her faith while being very involved in church life throughout her youth and young adulthood at Grace UMC in Coal Center, Pa. During Tori's time in college, she attended Asbury UMC in Erie. The Erie area holds a special place in her heart.
Pastor Tori is incredibly excited to begin full-time local church ministry as she walks into the calling shes felt since youth. Tori's call to ministry began when she was 13 years old and she began to pursue that call when she went to college. She is so grateful for the cloud of witnesses in the church who have walked with her and encouraged her as she has journeyed through the call to full-time ministry.
Pastor Tori's vision for ministry centers around building teams that work together to bring about spiritual renewal in the local church to impact the surrounding community. She deeply loves seeing lives transformed through the love of Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God the Father. Tori and Dustin married in January, 2018. Together they like coffee dates, camping, hunting for beach glass, and making each other laugh a lot.
